Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few…” (Matthew 9:37)

We are so excited to welcome you to this years Gathering Conference! It is going to be an incredible time of encouragement, conviction building and edification for everyone!

Its not an easy world we live in: bills, jobs, school, family responsibilities, emotional baggage, critical people around us, a lack of experience, and ever expanding “to-do” lists. What is it going to take? What do we need to change? What has to happen to truly “Harvest the Earth” in our generation? We hope your coming will help us answer these questions and more as we let the Holy Spirit challenge us through the speakers we hear, friendships we make and all the experiences we have at this conference!

A special welcome to all our guests who have flown in from other nations! We truly appreciate the time and effort it takes and we want to let you know how grateful we are that you have come!

An extra special welcome to our speakers from abroad: the Adams from upstate NY, Michael Underhill from NY City, the Williamsons and especially our visionary leaders the McKeans from LA! We are so grateful that you have come to preach the Word to us so that our faith may increase! (Romans 10:17)

A quick run through of the conference:

Thursday at 1pm we have the leaders workshop and campus workshop at Birkbeck with the Williamsons and the Adamses.

Friday at 830am we will have a tour of London starting at Green Park tube station. It will include Nelsons Column, Buckingham Palace, Number 10 Downing St, Parliament, Big Ben and a ferry ride past St Pauls, Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.

At 12 noon we will have the Gathering football match at Regents Park! It will be a five-a-side contest between London on one side, and the rest of the world on the other! Of course, if we think they need humility, London will win, and if they need encouragement we will let them win… we are disciples after all!

5pm in front of Birkbeck there will be an organized prayer time for those who are interested in a prayer walk.

730pm the main event starts! Kip McKean of LA is going to lay out the sermon of a lifetime. We will walk out of that understanding the past, present and with a vision of the future that will be inspiring and uplifting as well as challenging! If you want to Harvest the Earth this is not to be missed!

Saturday at 9am the sisters are going to be meeting for a special womans workshop, again at Birkbeck. Elena McKean will be the MC and Michele, Kerry-Sue, Jeanette and Lianne will present challenging and encouraging 10 minute sermonettes for the sisters. In the afternoon the sisters are free to go have great long lunches with one another and get ready for the singles event in the evening.

At 1pm the men will have their workshop. Kip will MC and Micheal, Chris, Jacques, Mike Underhill and Tim will present short sermonettes to the brothers! Saturday should be awesome!

At 7pm the singles event will kick off at the Grafton Hotel. There will be a buffet dinner, a short skit by Phil, a sermon by Michael Underhill, and a fun dance with appropriate music. The disciples understand that we need to set an example for the world in purity and friendship. I believe this singles event will be a shining example of the maturity and spirituality of the singles ministry.

Finally, Sunday will be our worship service with the sermon by Michael Williamson entitled: Pray to the Lord of the Harvest! This should be a spectacular event and it is of course totally free and guests are more than welcome!

It is our earnest prayer that this conference will strengthen all of us to bravely face the world we live in; use biblical principles, deep relationships and faith to overcome bills, jobs, school, family responsibilities, emotional baggage and ever expanding “to-do” lists so that we can shed whatever hinders to be truly and abundantly fruitful for Christ.

Lets get this show on the road!

Love,

The Gathering Managers
