O God; you refreshed your weary inheritance

Apple tree full of fruit

Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.”- Psalm 95:1-2

Here in London we have so much good news to share. Eugenie and Oliver got married with the help of our dear brother Tim Kernan and his wife Lianne from the Toronto Church, Canada. The service was held at All Saints Church in Woodford Green. The service was beautiful, Eugenie was dressed in a long white elegant wedding dress that draped along the floor. She looked fantastic. As you can imagine Oliver was jumping over the moon! Then came the electric moment, when Tim announced, “You may now kiss the bride”. It was intense because it was the first kiss.

We have been so blessed with new brothers and sisters, we’ve had two revivals and three move-ins from Belfast, N. Ireland, James, his wife Dee and a single brother Dale. We have gone from three sold out disciples to eight in the space of eight months. Also we are currently studying with two men and one woman. With the help of Tim, Lianne and the other leaders in Toronto we have a children’s, singles, and marrieds ministries, a bible talk, a webmaster, a full board and a services coordinator up and running and wish to do even more.

Our dear brother Tim has poured himself out for us and discipling Oliver who is leading us. Tim’s example of commitment to serve and meet the needs of the Church has inspired us to be front liners in the mission field. Tim’s on going friendship has been of great value to the church.

It goes without saying that www.upsidedown21.org has been of great encouragement to us here in London. The powerful weekly sermons and articles written by the preachers, especially Kip, have blown the embers in London into a flame. Like Radio Liberty during the cold war; upsidedown21 has brought a message of unity and vision over the walls of autonomy. We are responding to that message.

We understand our great need to build true and genuine relationships with the Portland Movement, who have been forcefully advancing the Kingdom of God. We know that they do not judge by outward appearance, just like Jesus who choose fisherman because they were ready to follow him immediately. In fact we know of no other movement that wants to make disciples of all nations and is calling every member of the church to be fully committed disciples. It is our desire to be part of such a movement again. Its for this reason that we are sending our leaders Oliver and Eugenie to Portland to offer the Portland leaders the hand of fellowship. This is what we are aiming for and committed to do.

For this reason we want to build a stronger and better relationship with Tim and Lianne and the brothers and sisters in Portland. Ultimately we would like a leader from the Portland movement to come and lead us and to train Oliver as an Evangelist in Training. At the end of the day we want to make disciples of all nations and we have no more time to wait in disobedience to Christ.

To God be the glory

AMEN

Just wanted to leave a “footprint” to my family there! I am with you in heart and understanding and pray constantly for you. My prayers mirror yours and all there is now, is to march forward and watch our God answer them!

I want to admonish you and us all, to be mindful and diligent about PERSONAL righteousness (that is having right relationships with God, yourselves, amongst yourselves, and his Kingdom as a whole). This is what he delights to reward.

My love and faith to you all – talk with you soon! — In Him – Jess

It is amazing looking back to this first article to see how God has moved so powerfully over this past year and a half,… and like you say Tim… there is a whole 6 months left of 2009/2010…

It is so easy now, looking back, to have faith and joy for the future.

And it is thanks to the true grit of the brothers and sisters who never gave up in spite of everything that that they went through.

    Thats truly inspiring.

    Love

    James
